Lead Time and Rush Orders
At Hinkro Kente, our weaving process is rooted in precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. To ensure the delivery of a high-quality and truly bespoke product, we recommend a minimum lead time of three (3) months for all kente weaving projects. This timeframe allows for proper consultation, design development, sample weaving, client feedback, revisions (if necessary), and full production.
Why 3 Months?
- Consultation & Design – Time to understand the client's vision and translate it into a workable pattern.
- Sample Strip Creation – Allowing for creation and approval of initial samples. Learn about our sample strips policy
- Pattern Iteration (if needed) – Especially for new or complex designs, multiple sample attempts may be necessary.
- Weaving & Finishing – Meticulous weaving, finishing, and quality control require time to maintain our high standards.
Rush Orders
We understand that some clients may have tighter deadlines due to events or unforeseen changes. In such cases, rush orders may be accommodated under the following conditions:
- Rush Fee: A rush handling fee will apply to prioritize your order ahead of others and account for overtime or resource allocation.
- Design Restrictions: For extremely tight deadlines, complex new patterns may not be possible. Clients may be limited to choosing from existing or slightly modified designs to meet the time constraint.
- Availability Confirmation: Rush orders are subject to availability and capacity. We will assess whether we can take on the project without compromising quality.
- Written Agreement: All rush orders will require a written agreement detailing the revised timeline, design scope, associated costs, and delivery expectations.
Client Responsibility for Shorter Timelines
Clients requesting turnaround times shorter than the recommended 3-month lead time are responsible for:
- Prompt communication and approval at each stage of the process.
- Accepting potential limitations in design customization due to time constraints.
- Covering any additional rush-related fees as outlined in the order agreement.
By maintaining these lead time standards and offering structured options for rush orders, we ensure that every client receives a product that meets Hinkro Kente’s hallmark of excellence—whether planned well in advance or needed on a shorter timeline.
